GarMax Software Authorisation

The previous diskette based software authorisation has been scrapped, a new password based system takes its place. Users will need to obtain a Supplier Code by sending Crabb Computing the six digit “Customer Code” by e-mail or phone. We will supply you with a “Supplier code” to activate the software.

Uploading data

I have put a lot of effort into resolving the problems with uploading on Win98, XP, NT and have used a different upload method – kindly provided by Ron Hendersons G7toWin software. This should work without having to boot up in “Safe Mode”

Filtering Waypoints

There is a new “Filter” option that allows you to select the closest 250 or 500 etc. Waypoints to your airfield. This should nake it much quicker to select the maximum number of Waypoints for your GPS.

Importing Waypoints

There is a new “Import File…” option that allows you to import different and widely available Waypoint formats. The formats available are FlightCheck (FLC), TaskNav (TPT) and G7toWin (.WPT). These formats are available on John Leibachers website http://acro.harvard.edu/SSA/JL/TP/

Download data

This option for downloading the contents of your Garmins Waypoint list into GarMax should now work more reliably.
